I have a new show at Samurai Sushi in Nesters, Whistler. Really cool to have some shots up in there and I'm really happy. Check them out if you can and eat delicious sushi at the same time :)
Most of us have spent our lives caught up in plans, expectations, ambitions for the future, in regrets, guilt or shame about the past. To come into the present is to stop the war.
Each day I was getting on the bus to UBC this summer I walked past the corner of Macdonald and 4th Avenue. An eclectic array of objects aligned the pavement every day. It was always an assortment of things which did not really mean anything. Placed on the side of the road they became like art to me. Each day I would wonder what was going to be on show and I was always astounded at what was found. Here are just 3 days of my findings and I always find myself walking down 4th Ave to seek out todays treasures.
Silence permeates my pores, sinks into my skin. It takes hold of my body as quickly and potently as a rattlesnake's venom and leaves me unable to move. I am slowly sinking into myself, my inner subconscious is pulling on the reins. I close my eyes. I surrender.
